In order to help build a base of knowledge and better understand the state of founder and engineer salaries within the aviation, space, and defense community, Cluster partnered with Starburst Aerospace to survey startups in their U.S. network about their compensation practices. This report is based on the responses we received from 83 companies last winter. Our goal is to provide data that is helpful to startup founders as they’re thinking about salary conversations with prospective employees.
We have broken the results into two different parts. In this report, Part 1, we focus on founder compensation, and in Part 2, we will break down technical employee compensation data and overall hiring trends.
